DJ Quik- Balance & Options

A few years back I lost/broke/lent out (?) my favorite DJ Quik album, Balance & Options (2000). Due to how great of an album it is, I figured it was about time to go re-purchase. It is safe to say that this album's production epitomizes West Coast boogie rap. Quik beats are so unique, especially for the era of rap (gangster) he came up in. Here are some of the stand out tracks.

*DJ Quik- Pitch In On A Party

*DJ Quik- We Came To Play (ft. AMG)

*DJ Quik- Sexuality

*DJ Quik- I Don't Wanna Party With You

*Talib Kweli (ft. Res)- We Got The Beat

*Talib Kweli- (ft. UGK)- Country Cousins

J Dilla- Jay Stay Paid

Although J Dilla is no longer alive, as the title of his new album would suggest, Jay Stay Paid. It's unbelievable how he continues to spread his (elite) musical creations without actually being here in face. He was such a influential producer in so many ways, that it goes beyond what anyone can even comprehend. Here are a few tracks off of the new album, Jay Stay Paid, that dropped today.

GO BUY THIS ALBUM & CONTINUE TO SUPPORT REAL HIP-HOP!

*J Dilla (ft. Black Thought)- Reality TV

*J Dilla (ft. DOOM)- Firewood Drum Stix

*J Dilla (ft. Blu)- Smoke

Gnarls Barkley- The Last Time

Although every Gnarls Barkley song hits the spot, this one in particular is my personal favorite. There is never a bad time for some Gnarls.
